Intuitive Eating

For Dietitians

Starting a HAES/Intuitive Eating Private Practice

For dietitians looking to build a HAES- and IE-based private practice, I highly recommend Jennifer McGurk’s Pursuing Private Practice for Intuitive Eating online course. I took this before it was IE-focused and it still helped me build a thriving practice; with the new IE-focus, it speaks directly to those of us who reject the weight-based paradigm and teaches us how to reach those who need us most.

Learn about PCOS (for dietitians)

When I needed to learn about PCOS, I turned to my friend Julie Duffy Dillon. She has an amazing online course, The PCOS and Food Peace Course for Dietitians, and it takes the mystery out of this under-served condition. This is a HAES-based course and I am so happy to promote it.

Please note: I am an affiliate for both PPP and PCOS/Food Peace because I wholeheartedly believe in them, and that also means that I get a small commission if you purchase through the links above.

Teach HAES

The Weight Realities Division of SNEB in collaboration with NAAFA and ASDAH developed a college level curriculum to teach students about HAES: http://haescurriculum.com/
