Are you tired of dieting, weight obsession, body shame, and feeling controlled by food? Are you ready to get over all of that so you can finally get down to the business of living your real life?
Then you’ve come to the right place. I practice within the Health at Every Size® philosophy, and use the Intuitive Eating and Eating Competence models to help people shed the shame and guilt of eating and reconnect with their appetite and emotions around food and their bodies.
I will work with you to help you recognize and honor your hunger and fullness signals, stop restricting calories and/or foods, overcome chronic overeating and binge eating, emotional eating or mindless eating, build a healthy relationship to food, and begin to accept your body as you are now.
I will also work with you to let go of your fears around your weight. You will learn to normalize your eating and as a result, your weight will eventually stabilize at a weight that is right for you. In our work together, you’ll learn to honor the wisdom of your body and its highly complex, finely-tuned processes.
This process is highly individualized and will be tailored to you. This isn’t a weight loss or diet plan, and in each session we’ll find out exactly what it is that you need to move you away from diet-mentality and into food freedom and body peace.
Who I Work With
I take clients of all sizes, weights, races, abilities and disabilities. You will never be judged or shamed for your weight. My office furniture accommodates larger people.
In person in my office in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles, I work with people with eating disorders, people struggling to get free of diet mentality and behavior, and people with medical conditions who want to learn to eat for their medical issues without feeling restricted.
Virtually by phone or video sessions, I coach women who want to leave food guilt, fear, and anxiety behind and learn to eat intuitively. Coaching is an action-oriented process by which I help you to obtain the skills you need to free yourself from the cycle of restriction and binge eating, diet mentality and overall anxiety around eating and weight.

Feel like you’ve got a picky child, and you’re nervous about his or her nutrition? Is mealtime becoming a nightmare for you? Worried about your child’s weight? Don’t do this alone – I can help with getting your kids to become good eaters. I use Ellyn Satter’s Division of Responsibility model to help you achieve peace at the dinner table and reassurance that your child is getting exactly what she or he needs.
How Sessions Work
During our initial 75 minute session, I’ll find out all about your eating and dieting history, what you feel are your biggest obstacles in your relationship to food, how you feel about your body, and what you expect from our work together. We’ll develop goals to work towards for your eating and body acceptance. I’ll also have some forms for you to fill out before we meet.
In our 50 minute follow-up sessions, we’ll talk about what you worked on, the progress you made, and any resistance you encountered. We’ll work through that resistance together to find out what works and what doesn’t. We’ll talk about all the discoveries you will make about how you eat, and how you want to eat.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you will need to find freedom with food will depend on many factors and generally cannot be determined ahead of time. The process is rarely linear and involves a lot of exploration, and I urge you to give yourself the gift of time and patience to truly heal from a toxic relationship with diet culture.
